UNITARIANISM

CHRIST: Does not refer to Jesus

DEATH OF JESUS: Accepts the literal death of Jesus.

GOD: A solitary entity

HOLY SPIRIT: is neither God, nor part of the trinity.

JESUS: He is not God incarnate, but has let God reveal himself through Him like many others have done. There was no virgin birth.

LIFE AFTER DEATH: Heaven and Hell refer to the present condition of the soul.

RESURRECTION: A metaphysical and pagan philosophy

SALVATION: A progressive event of character development over which man has full control.

SIN: All evil; man is responsible for it.

TRINITY: A pagan philosophy.


TRANSCENDENTALISTS

CHRIST: Refers to Jesus

DEATH OF JESUS: "I don't think Christ ever suffered, or that he could suffer." (Maharishi Mahesh Yogi)

GOD: God is everything; man's real nature is divine.

HOLY SPIRIT: The creative force within everyone.

JESUS: Believe to be a master, along with several others.

LIFE AFTER DEATH: Heaven and Hell are not accepted. An individual travels through several incarnations until he obtains a union with the divine.

RESURRECTION OF JESUS: Denies the bodily resurrection of Jesus.

SALVATION: Transcendental Mediation is a path to self-realization of the divine nature within you.

TRINITY: Not accepted as having truth.


BAHA'I WORLD FAITH

CHRIST: Refers to the messianic title of Jesus

DEATH OF JESUS: Accepts the death of Jesus on the cross

GOD: A person in harmony with Judaism and Islam; Baha'u'llah is considered a manifestation of God.

HOLY SPIRIT: Denies that He is the Comforter whom Jesus promised would come.

JESUS: A prophet for the Christians, as was Moses for the Jews. He is one of several 'manifestations' of God.

LIFE AFTER DEATH: There is divine judgment, though not forever.

RESURRECTION OF JESUS: Do not believe in the bodily resurrection.

SALVATION: Comes by practicing the principles that were given by Baha'u'llah and by living in accord with the character of Baha'u'llah.

SIN: No one is a sinner.

TRINITY: Totally foreign to the Bible.
